An aluminum run is laid out to the picket module before a post goes in the ground, so gate posts and corner posts land where the panel spacing actually needs them rather than wherever is convenient. Every post is set in concrete, sized larger where a gate will hang from it, since a gate post carries weight and stress the line posts never see.
